New Members: Post your introduction!

Hey all, I'm new here, but have been a part of the community on youtube for a while. My interests are in tech and so I'm glad to be here and am looking towards doing some OC squeezing the most out of my hardware. Thanks a lot for having me! Take care.

Welcome to the forum I`ve been member for a year now and have found that peeps here are very informative (they know their stuff), the reviews are great, I have built my new system around their reviews.

Hi folks,

Into all things tech and currently getting bits and pieces together for new rig! :)

Salutations!

Hello everyone!

I have been lurking here for some\time so I thought I should become legit and register.

I've been overclocking ever since I upgraded my 4.77mHz 8088 with 256k of RAM to a n 8mHz Turbo Proc! And I had to use SimCGA (Does anyone else still remember that) to run most of my games because I had a mono video card on an amber monitor. Ahh, those were the good old days... ;-p

Jump straight in.. Duncan, 34 from Buckinghamshire UK, gsoh... Oh damn, wrong site...

All seriousness, own nothing but a laptop (that I get inside to fix regularly) but cannot wait to build a pc ever since deciding to ditch the next console cycle, just waiting for the car to stop breaking down and getting knowledge in the mean time.

Heya, yup, I'm new too!

My machine is "The Legendary Black Beast of Aaargh!":

i7-4790K (initial testing at 4.8 GHz / 1.35 Vcore, 4.9 might be possible, as it boots fully into a rather loaded Winblowz, but bluescreens as soon as SETI is started)
Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Reb B with aftermarket SP fan at 107 FPM flow
(Yes, I know, an AIO is next on our list)
24GB DDR3-2400, G.SKILL RipjawsX 16GB kit, and Team Vulcan 8GB kit
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK
Five WD Green 3TB drives and a HP DVD
Corsair HX-650, soon to be an AX1200i
Corsair Obsidian 750D

By the way, how do I set up an avatar in the profile?

I also posted an introduction, with a pic of my rig, and it's namesake, and it said it would have to be approved by a moderator. Is this standard?

Kind regards : Shawn :-)
