Welcome aboard, if you'll need any help/advice on your new watercooling system feel free to ask...

I used to have several watercooling systems in the past, with a home-made watercooling system as the last one, though I'm currently went back to air cooling (CoolerMaster Hyper 6+ on my X2 3800+)...;)

Welcome mate! Do you have that crazy Welsh accent like Glyn from Big Brother? ;) hehe

Well, s'pose I'm new (considering this will be my first post) so hello all. Looks like avatar uploads are out of the question for some reason or another - so no spiffy avatar for me.

I'm a lurker, so I've been here for some time, just haven't registered for one reason or another. Oh, and I'm Canadian - provided that makes a difference.

Welcome to OC3D mate! Glad you decided to finally get out lurk-mode and enter post-mode :)

It won't let you upload an av? It might be because you need a certain amount of posts, I'll have to check but last I knew you didnt need a specific post count to set an avatar. That may have changed...

What kind of rig ya runnin? And have you checked out our PhysX contest yet?

Hello Eccentricity, and welcome to OC3D Forum. :wavey:

We're glad that you've finally made the effort. We'd sure like to have you stick around :)

For the PhysX contest, I have entered after finding out about it. Hope I win!

As for my rig, it's an aging AGP system, but it'll get what needs to be done until I upgrade.

AthlonXP 2400+ Mobile cooled by a Thermalright SP-97 (and Panaflo M1A)

Abit NF7-S Rev. 2.0 with soon-to-be-added voltmods

2x512MB Centon PC4000 running at 2-2-2-5

ATi X800XT AIW (running at over X850XTPE speeds)

then some other useless trivia, like 280GB of space, X-Connect PSU, Sunbeam Rheobus, integrated military-style flip switches, MX518 and a Saitek Eclipse.

Oh, and the grand achievement of my rig - It currently has 28 fans. And room for more.

Anyways, I hope my entry into the PhysX contest got through, I wouldn't mind having one of 'em ASUS cards kicking around in my rig - because of course, I'll betrying to overclock the RAM on that sucker. ;)

28 fans?!!!? Holy S**t!!! Why do you need so many fans? Just attach some wings to your rig and I bet it will fly!!! :D :worship:

One of my military-style switches controls about 90% of the fans in my system. One flick of the switch and poof! My system is three times quieter. It's nice to have, and fun to use as well.

And yes, if I threw my system off of a building, I'm pretty sure it would hover. Below are links to shots of my rig both with an without the lights on. The design you see cut into the side panel is my logo (which I haven't been able to upload as an avatar yet).

Lights On

Lights Off

I currently don't have any inside shots of my rig, but I could list where the fans are located if some of you would like. I get that reaction at LAN parties quite a bit. :D

I found this site from a link on another site. I'm always looking for good hardware forums. There's always so much to learn and if I can help someone out and answer a question that's great too.
