New Members: Post your introduction!

hi new on hear . just entered the competition what a prize . hope i win :worship:. i have toshiba laptop had it 4 years its on its way out

I'm gonna reintroduce myself briefly... The name is FragTek, most people refer to me as Frag or Fraggles. I've just recently just returned to the "decent" computer scene. Formerly I was an OC addict (Overclocking, not Oxyconton ;)) and always was tinkering with new cooling methods and hardware from air, to water, to phase, to DICE, etc. I stopped over a year ago and sold all of my equipment and kept one shoddy P4 rig for myself to surf the internet with. It took over a year for me to finally get fed up with poor performance and a slow PC so I decided to build a new computer (the one in my sig). I built it with budget in mind and spent less than $700 on the whole build out and it performs rather well.

Anyhow, i was one of the original founders and staff members of the site with Jim, Dav0s, Kemp, and PV5150 when we were still SysXtreme and Jim still went by XMS. I hope to meet all the new people here and learn about all this fancy new hardware that has come out over the last few years that I dont know about.

See yall around the forums! I'm baaaaaaaaack!

Hello hello hello!!

I am very new to all this but hope to build a gaming PC very soon, hope that you guys can help me make a cool machine!

Hope to chat to you soon... :D

Hey! Im a member on a couple of other overclocking forums as well as just joining here, good to get a few different opinions on things.

PC died a month or so ago so just been buying new parts and now waiting for a few upgrades to come, 8800GTS and watercooling for GPU and CPU being the main things :)

Welcome to the forums all of you. I hope you enjoy it here.

@ Ducky Spud, Personal opinion but I don't think you need to water cool your 8800GTS. It will work fine on a stock cooler?

More trouble than it's worth. Save the money for something else you might need more?

Welcome to the forums :)

And like diablo said, I'd rather put my money into a better aircooled card instead of water cooling the 8800GTS.

I'd already ordered the 8800GTS, got it for £45 second hand so quite a bargain! I was asking around another forum about watercooling and sombody said they'd send me a swiftech block if I payed postage. Comes out at £50 for watercooled card haha, not too bad!

But yea, the price of GPU blocks, dont think I would of bothered if that offer hadnt been made
