New Members: Post your introduction!

Hello, i am Chris, i am new to overclocking, and watercooling, after tons of lurking thought i might as well join so i could ask questions and get help if i need it (i will haha), these forums have been in valuable for knowledge when i was building.

Hi all
About to put an old Swiftech 220 kit onto my 2600K.
Came off a intel D820 dual core.
I'm into advanced video editing, need output vids fast and my pc take foreeeeeever and absolutely COOKS!
So far just putting a 220 rad on with old D5 pump, hope its enough otherwise with add a 360??.
Also the pump has run 24/7 since 2006, wondering how long it will live??? still queit and great performer.

Cant wait to get started... :D

Cheers.

Hi all! Been reading your stuff and watching Tom's YouTube videos for quite a while. I think Tom's DETAILED take on everything is just unmatched. Couldn't resist joining ya... :)

Hi everyone, just saying hello as a new member. Just a quick heads up about who I am, unlike like many of you 'Im from the telecommunications industry ie I deal with telephones and PABX's etc, I did start in the PC industry putting together minicomputers back in the 80's (anyone remember z8000 server cpu's lol). I still build new PC's for myself and friends and I love using Linux/BSD and yes I do use windows as I view all OS's are just a tool with their good and bad sides..

Hello everyone. My name is Timo R and It's nice to find a serious hardware forum where I'm not shouted-down as a "nuuuub" just because I'm not a millionaire.

Strangely enough I actually still game on my 5 year old laptop. Acer 8930G with a lovely 18.4" screen. I upgraded in 2011 with an x9100 (overclocked 13.5x266 bus speed to 3.8 ghz and a GTX280M seated on a CM U3 with noctua pressure fans. I Play @1080. My main game is BLR. I do not like military games. I wish the world was a better place.

Hi Folks. My name is Ian Horsfield but you can call me The Horse (Nickname from last job as a IT Engineer which has just stuck) or just Ian. Anyway I've been watching Tom's Youtube channel for a while now and finally decided to join. OC3D. I Plan to do some start doing some reviews in the future. I'm currently working on a watercooling project for my Gaming rig using a Alphacool Monsta 360 and Heatkiller blocks for my 3770k and 7970 Ghz card. So I'm planning on doing a review on how it turns out and maybe a build log to. I'd also like to do a review on the Phobya Bench Case I brought for the project as I love it. I know Tom has already done a review on it but I'd quite like to do my own just for my own amusement.

Anyway time for a bit about me. I'm a big gamer. I love FPS games and RPG's mostly. Not really into MMO's I tried Guild Wars 2 and Warcraft but it's not really my thing. My favourite game series at the minute is probably Assassins Creed (I can't wait for black flag). I'm also a massive rock music fan. I mostly listen to European Metal bands that nobody ever seems to have heard of.

Anyway that's a bit about me. Hopefully soon I'll start writing a few reviews to get me into the swing of things.

Hi im not exactly new to all this, been into overclocking since the amd pencil trick of the original Thunderbird and Duron chips, currently running a 2600K at 4.6 for the last year and a half on air, come back from watercooled on my socket 775 rig (EK waterblocks are a thing of beauty and expense!)

ive also hounded Tom on youtube for a fair while subscribed under the username SortedGeeza... so there ya go, im now finally a proper OC3D member at long last !

Hiya guys and gals, just joined after hovering around reading on the forums and watching Tom on YouTube for a while now.Decided it was time to come in and join in the fun and games.Iv`e been building my own systems for a long time now but never ventured into the overclocking or modding side, everything was done at stock.
The first time i saw Tom on YouTube i was hooked on his videos and now have my coffee ready before i sit down to watch. At the time of writing this ,i can almost say with certainty i have seen all of the videos on YouTube and read a fair few reviews so i`m not coming in here as a total newbie although iv`e never oc`ed before.
Feels good to have taken the leap and joined.I can say that i will be in and out when i can as i am disabled and cannot always sit in front of my PC.
So anyway ,glad to be in here now and i am here to try and learn and if at all possible help if i can. Thanks for having me and looking forward to chatting to you guys throughout my time here.
Cheers..
