Looking for a new keyboard. Wanting a mechanical keyboard and it will be used for gaming.

I've heard good things about the Corsair k60 but looking for other options.

Anything else worth taking a look at or is the K60 the best bet?

I have a K90 and love it. I would of bought a K60 as I don't use the macros on the K90 but I wanted a backlight.

Same really - although I would prefer different keys to the MX reds.

Agreed look at Duckys, but they are a bit more expensive aren't they.

Ducky shine 2 144$, K60 139$
Australia has reasonable prices on periphirals but slams high premiums on internals

SteelSeries 6Gv2 or G7?

For under 100 quid I could not be happier with my 6Gv2. I picked it up for 59.99 as my first mechanical keyboard about a month ago. It has cherry black switches which although i've heard a lot of people arent a fan of i personally haven't had any problems getting used to it so far

For me there's always been something amazing about blue switches for gaming.
The fact their clicky helps with getting perfect reaction times and moving just the correct amount around a doorway :)

OFC, my opinion is porbably quite rare and others will tell you blues are too loud/ect, best bet would be to find a store where you could test them out...

What are the options for switches? Would want the best for gaming.

There is no best, it's all personal preference.

Reds, blacks, blues and browns mainly.

For me blues are awful for gaming, double tapping etc does not feel right and it can be very noisy at night.

You've just got to try them out.

I'd recommend the Razer Black Widow Tournament Edition, its only £70 on Aria and it is a great looking Tenkeyless keyboard, its got Cherry MX blues(I prefer them for gaming and typing). there is also the stelth edition which uses browns if you don't like blues!! :)

I am happy with my ducky and filco. I would recommend both. Brown or Red switches will be fine for gaming. I think for me the blues are just a little to heavy and the novelty of the click would wear off.
