New Keyboard but which one?!

I'm currently thinking about getting a new keyboard as my current one is getting a bit old.

Currently I am using a Apple Pro Keyboard (white) and before that I has a Apple Pro Keyboard (black).

I have found they are excellent for typing and also last forever. Both of them still work perfectly.

I was looking at maybe getting a 'gaming'(cringe) keyboard as they look really nice and would go well with my Deathadder :D

The keyboards which have caught my eye so far are the Razer Lycosa/Arctosa and the Microsoft Sidewinder X6.

As I've only really gone for apple keyboards for the past 8+years I have no idea about these 'gaming' keyboards :( but think it might be time for a change :D

At the moment the Razer Lycosa looks good as it has a USB port, rubber keys and a removable rubber wrist rest.

I'm just not so sure about the key layout, don't like the small return key. They remind me of laptop keyboards :(

My saitek eclipse is getting old too so ill be interested in what you pick

You looking for something like me? Function such as usb port, volume keys not necessarily loads of function keys

High profile keys (not laptop style) - with a nice feel such as aluminium? Perhaps backlighting?

Look at the new G19......

Ive got the "logitech illuminated" and love it to work with. Im not a kboard gamer so suits me.

lol can you get ghosting on a keyboard? or is that basically input lag?

yer supposedly there is input lag when u press multiple keys at the same time (eg: wasd)

I still think the lycosa looks the best atm but some people have moaned about the rubber coated keys so not sure :(

Also I'm not too worried about not having a LCD on it as I never really look at my keyboard. Especially when ingame.

I've had the G15, then I won a X6 in a lanparty and used it for about one month and then sold both and bought a Lycosa.

The Lycosa is the best keyboard by far. I just love the rubber keys, it's so comfortable and the keyboard is really fast! The lights are brilliant, doesn't have dim or bright like the G15 but allows you to turn them off, WASD only or full. Touchpad media buttons look very nice and works perfectly.

Opinion delivered. :D

Never ever had input lag from my keyboard. You might wonna convert the USB to PS/2 then ;). I have used standard keyboards for a long time. My best keyboard was my old PS/2 white one. Great keyboard and lasted me years, used to trickjump so much on it, so definately no ghosting or input lag. It's all in your brain dudes!

well i got the saitek cyborg just cus it looks funky :D but turns out its an awesome keyboard, beeing a gamer i feel it meets my every need:)

I had a look at the lycosa in pcworld today and it seems quite nice, the rubber keys seem nice.

I also tried those new apple keyboards but they were horrible and tiny :(

I love my apple keyboard :p I've got the 'new' (2007) wired keyboard. Not really a gaming keyboard though, I sometimes accidentally strafe simply because of the weight of my finger.
