Hey all,
New member long time lurker here. All these great pics and build logs got me in the mind to replace my old rig. Needless to say this was my first build and WC by myself....ever. Ok well not really...practiced the WC gig on my old comp just to be sure and would upgrade my stuff...just never built one from scratch. Ran it on stock air for about 2 weeks to test. Then took apart and started the WC. Needless to say I took my time (especially getting those damn screws off the stock gpu cooler...pain in the...). Of course there were errors I made (like screwing 2 screws to far into the rad and puncturing a hole in it...expensive lesson there) but all a great learning process. Did a nice 12 hr leak test before wiring everything up. Of course I did the cringe thing right before I hit the pwr button...you know...just incase. There is a little overkill in some areas but am going to be OCing and continue to add more things (GPU, etc) as the money pit starts to creep back up (funny how 3 years savings goes SWOOOSH!) Went with a Black and Gold theme...kinda pulled it off. Temps seem to good GPU around 48 C on BFBC2 Maxed out...BIOS CPU temps around 27-30 at idle but didn't check those during gaming...too busy playing! So here are the specs:
