My father had some problems with HDD in his computer. I bought for him new one (Toshiba 2TB, DT01ACA200) but it was DOA (click of death). Today I got delivered new one, but when I connect it to PC nothing happens. Neither his or mine computer detects the drive. I am unable to see it in BIOS or when I boot up Linux / Windows. I have also checked disk management but with no luck. Please help.

Probably another DOA.

I had the same issue with a SSD so I looked into and found this worked......
You have to format this drive.
Click start, run diskmgmt.msc (Disk Management). Locate your drive (unallocated space) right click, choose format. Format it with NTFS, assign drive letter. Done.

This worked for me, hope it helps you.

@Kushiro Yes, I did put it into 2nd PC and it did not showed up. The cables are fine because other (my old drive) drive is working correctly. I can hear 6 very quiet "buzzig" and than it's quiet (or quieter than surrounding sound). But I think it is spinning because I had it connected for about an hour and it was slightly warm. Not much probably because it was not in use but warmer than other disconnected drive.

@Davva2004 No it does not show up. The last drive in my fathers PC was probably faulty. It was unable to boot up Windows. We were getting reboot and select propper boot device error. It had 2 partitions from the the start (when we bought it). One was with Windows and later his primary files and other was storage used for family photos and videos. When we wanted to install brand new Windows on 2nd partition it was still stucked on that error from C drive (1st partition). I was not being able to use boot manager to boot 2nd partition and continue the instalation. Even when it was enabled in BIOS the hotkey to start boot manager was not working. Also when I was backing up files from that HDD I got 2 corrupted photos from 2nd partition.

@Dark NighT That's what I am worried about but I don't know it seems to me like very bad luck to have 2 in a row.

@RandomBadger I can't because it does not show up in Disk Management. I can see my 2 drives but this new one is just not there.

No I was not being able to see it in mine or my fathers PC BIOS. I found on the internet something about changing some SATA BIOS setting but with no explanation what exactly I am looking for or where to find it so I had no luck with that either.

Thanks all for your help. I did returned the product and decided to buy an SSD instead since those should be less likely DOA (no mechanical parts). I hope this one will finally work.
