I'm going to add a 2nd GTX 580 in the future so that's why I went with the 1000w psu and I don't really know if I should go with the HAF X or get this instead

I assume the HAF X is better Spec wise so im thinking that so far but what do yous think?

Thanks

[Edit] Wouldn't a 2600k be better than a 2500k in the long run?

ok first of all definatly change that psu to either a corsair, seasonic or be quiet psu. ocz are absolutely crap for psus. look at the corsair 850ax or the 1200ax (im running a fully overclocked x58 system with 2 580s on a 850ax psu

, do they have the 580 lightning where you are? if they do change ur twin frozer 2 for it. the msi lightning is an absolute awsome card that overclocks like to insane levels I absolutley love the card. now lets look at the ram, If you have mushkin memory in your country then go for the redline ridgebacks or a corsair equiviliant, I dont know much about kingston ram but i know those 2 mentioned are very good. for the cpu drop it down to a 2500k because there is barely any difference between the 2 cpus gaming wise. tbh Ive never seen that monitor that you have put up, maybe look at a samsung monitor?. lastly the case...its all up to you on that part, but theres some nice cases that Ive come across while I was building a couple of rigs heres my suggestion:

corsair 600t white and black version

coolermaster cm 690 2

nzxt phantom

bitfenix collosous

oh and by the way, where ur cpu cooler? the best advice I can give for that is get the noctua nh d14 or the thermalright silver arrow, they are the best coolers

oh I forgot to mention the money you save from the cpu you can invest in an ssd. ssd's literally put a massive turbocharger on ya rig, wonderful thing to have aswell

Forgot the CPU cooler and they have all those things where I live - Scotland/Glasgow.

I went with the Twin Froze one because its cooler than other gtx 580's but speed is even better. How far did you overclock your card?

the lightning is the next one up from the twin frozer 2 mate, well lets put it this way im 1108mhz on the core stable and I havent finished overclocking it yet let alone touch the memory.

im currently trying to get my second lightning atm which means ill either have to sell my asus one or go tri sli and start folding

that psu is good but the AX is better and overclockers are charging way to much for that psu,

in my opinion OCZ lower level PSUs are hit and miss but the High end ZX power supplys are meant to be really good

The HX and AX, for the extra tenner you may as well get the AX, then you have a fully modular power supply and it's gold rated.

yeh going with the AX but not from overclockers, I'm actually going to compare everything to other sites and see which is best. I want to try and limit everything to one shop but that's why its all from overclockers.

Maybe, if in you future your going to use something that makes use of the extra threads the 2600K has over the 2500K.

As far as gaming goes though, I can't see how extra threads in the future is going to make any diffrence than it does now. Imho.

Guess it's better with the 2500k, I just do mild video converting from .avi to DVD so not really any difference either I suppose.

At least I save an extra £100 towards whatever, probs the 2nd gtx 580 lightning, just like the idea of having an i7 lol but that's no reason to spend £100 extra
