New corsair psu question

Hey guys I am thinking of upgrading my psu from an old gs series to an ax series platinum psu. I have an idea of how much wattage I would need but I do have a quick question.

Is the i ax's worth the extra money? I do not plan on using the corsair link so correct me if I am wrong but the only real difference between the i and non i version is manufacturer for corsair and one is digital. So is the i worth the extra money or should I just get the normal one and save some money for xmas booz :downit::downit:

Are you getting an other card? Even with sli on that machine the 750 would be fine. I'm not sure what the i offers other than better efficiency and corsair-link.

If you plan not to use Corsair Link, then don't bother with getting in 'I' series psu, Save your cash and chug away! ;)

If your current PSU is still working fine why upgrade?

Well a few small reasons really. One is the fully modular, fully black cables for aesthetics. The second is the old gs in my current rig came from my old pc which I want to turn into a gaming server to play with mates on so as I need another psu I might as well get a nice one for my new rig hence the new corsair psu. Lastly it is to get ready for sli in next few months as the gs only has two pci cables and I dont want to use molex adapter cables.

So a few small reasons really.

If you can afford it why not get the i? Its one of the best power supplies on the market and you never know, you might one day wanna play with the Corsair Link software and there it'll be. Might be worth it if you've got the cash.
