NEW CASE

in about 3 or 4 months i will get a new case with better cooling and a lot bigger. selling my 460 will give me some more money.

at the moment i am looking at the nzxt phantom it’s a big case lots of fans and i love the look its plain and sleek. I AM NOT GETTING A HAF CASE I HATE THEM.

must have:

full size tower

several holes for cables

space for cables at the back of the case

no stupid tacky led's

no stupid tacky random decal

budget is £160

I quite like the look of the case but the cooling isn’t so great. Those Silverstone cases seem to cool very well but i am not sure about the 90 degree rotation thing

The 90 degree rotation is meant to support the laws of thermal dynamics (heat rises). So they rotate the board 90* than they stack the bottom of the case with fans, so the air gets sucked in and will leave on it's own accord. Another benefit of this is unlike a normal case where the graphics card is below the CPU emitting eat, but rotating it you avoid the heat of the graphics card spilling over to the graphics card above it and the CPU.

But since you are wanting to get a new case in 3-4 months I'll probably wait, you never know what's lurking around the corner. Although TTL might...

I took a better look and read some reviews of the Silverstone raven and it does cool very well but in the tests it’s a degree behind the phantom. Also it only takes 3 hdd and i have 5 and there’s a tight fit for gpu's.

quite possibly the ugliest case ive seen

How about waiting a bit for the 650D. It has loads of features and has optional side panels, windowed or meshed, with the meshed panel supporting up to four fans. its a mid tower and the corsair cases arent that good in terms of cooling
