New build problem

I have a problem with my new build, I connected ecveything and installed Windows 7. Turned it off and yesterday I turned around my front/back fans and HD. Since then The PC powers but nothing comes up on the screen, it sayd "Power Save" and to check connection or something along those lines. What am I doing wrong as it very annoying?

Do you have a graphics card? It's not on the spec list. If you do make sure you didn't accidentally unseat the card a little. Make sure it's plugged in all the way.

Yes, I have a 8400GS card to power the monitor. That's plugged in as it should be.

Well I would make sure everything is seating properly. Make sure all connections are good and tight. Push everything in on the motherboard just to be sure. Turning fans around isn't going to do anything. It just sound like you might have bumped something out of place slightly and that's what's causing the problem.

Seeing the post would be a thing to look out for.

If it doesn't post and yet if you give it time it goes through the motions of booting normally into windows, you just can't see anything - press caps-lock or num-lock, if the leds on the keyboard react, then it's just the gfxcard. If they do nothing then the whole thing has crashed.

8400gs aint a demanding card by any means, so I'd not even think about power. Cmos settings tho would be a thought.

I've somehow blown 2 PSU connecting it to the system, i've tried all the components apart from the CPU, motherboard and PSU in my current system. I'm pretty certain the CPU would not cause 2 PSU to blow and sp blame the motherboard, don't have a clue what the actual problem is but everything has been sent back to the suppliers.

Thank you for the help though guys, if you guys can maybe pinpoint the problem then I would love to know what it actually is.

I'm pretty sure it was as the PSUs didn't work again. There was no smoke but there was a little bang.

You shorting anything on the rear of your mobo ? Standoff posts to the case or solder to the case maybe.

Standoffs are where you screw the motherboard into. Sometimes they're added to the case, or you have to screw them in yourself.

Does your motherboard have integrated graphics? If so try plugging your monitor in to the integrated gfx and see if that gives you anything. If it works then you have pinpointed the problem to the graphics card either not seating properly or being dead.

The case came with them but don't understand how they could have short circuited, i placed the motherboard in as normal and screwed it in.

It's definitely not the card, I tried it in my system and they worked as normal. There is no onboard graphic for the MA770T-UD3 board.

Sometimes the risers can touch something they are not supposed too on the bottom side of the board. I would try unscrewing it, lifting it out, and making sure there's nothing metal that got caught between the board and the case.

Then try just bare essentials.... One stick of ram, one or no hard drives, no optical drives, no usb, soundcards etc.
