I decided to take the plunge and buy the Switch 810. Looks Like a great case to start with as I really am new to this. I am looking for hints, do's and don'ts, anything you guys think will help. I know I'm in the right place.
I already found some great advice here so I will be ordering the XSPC Raystorm RX360 Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit w/ D5 Variant Pump.
I 'm just gonna start with cooling the cpu only. Once I get my head wrapped around that, I'll bring in the gpu. Maybe down the road, I'll try to fit a monsta rad in the floor. I'm using a lot of Noctua fans now, but I don't know about the color combo.

i like red/black/white combo for my switch but you can do anything you like :P

mostly make it look neat with nice tidy cables (most thing moaned about on here :P) and the least about on tubing.

you can always get a picture of the case from google and use paint to draw what you're planning that can help a lot.

if you want lighting get white LED's or it'll bleach out the colours of the components.
 
I have the Switch 810, and I use a 360 and 240 both 60mm thick and push pull.
The rad space is definitely very nice, and you should have no problem getting a 240 Monsta in the floor, even in push pull if you like.

If you have trouble fitting the 360 in the roof (which you shouldn't have if you put it in before the motherboard and stuff), then you can easily take the roof off to install the radiator, which is what I did as I already had the rest of my system in the case. If you want to push pull the top rad, you may want to cut a section of the top optical bay out to enable more air flow. Some cases already have this updated but mine didn't, I just left it in and run push pull anyway as I have the fans on really slow anyway so it's not like it's creating extra noise or anything, and there's still about 5mm clearance anyway. You'll probably want the fittings to be at the left end near the rear exhaust otherwise it'll be really fiddly to access.

There isn't a lot of dos or don'ts I can think of as the case is really user friendly and you can do pretty much what you want with it within reason. I'm really really pleased with mine, and I've not seen a single other case I wish I'd have bought instead in a similar price range, maybe a 900D ignoring the price but only for overkill :)

Remmy, your post is one of the ones that inspired me to go ahead with this. I am considering putting a 80mm. rad on the floor with just push or pull. seems to be plenty of room if I remove the bottom hdd cage. Alphacool seems to be the only brand. Another thing I might do is using acrylic tubing from Primochill
 
Well, don't know if I can swing it right now, but, I still got time. Since I will order the kit,I want to see how the big rad will look with it. My thinking is I'll be able to tell better loking at the kit installed.
 
You can have an 80mm rad in the roof with fans in pull on the top of the case.. On the bottom i believe you can have an 80mm rad in push/pull.
 
I have a question about fittings and tubing. The Primochill tubing has a wall thickness of 3/16 ". The Monsoon compression fittings, according to their website, are designed for tubing with a thickness of 1/16 ". I'm wondering if that would be a problem ?

Definitely, compression fittings are made for a specific Inside Diameter and Outside Diameter, otherwise you'll get the tube on the fitting, but then won't be able to screw down the compression section, rendering your compression fitting an especially ugly barb. With barbs only the ID matters but for compression fittings you need to make sure you get the correct ID and OD.
 
OK but look. I'm talking about wall thickness of the tubing. The id and od are OK. But the wall thickness is the question. so on this tube the wall thickness would be the difference between the id and od. the primochill tubing is 7/16 " id,5/8 " od. the difference would be 3/16 ". No ? The monsoon site says these fittings are designed for tubing with a thickness of 1/16".

The difference is 3/16" yes, but bear in mind that is between diameters, which means it takes into account twice the wall thickness (draw it out and you'll see if you don't know what I mean) so the wall thickness is 3/32" so I suppose at 1.5/16" it's not far off 1/16". If the ID and OD of the tubing matches the ID and OD stipulated by the fittings then there won't be a problem. Just go by those rather than wall thickness
