looks like a great build. Only thing I would do is go for the samsung 840 pro SSD but apart from that i'd say you're pretty set on a lavely build

Edit: @TTL. looks like the alternate vengeance pro idea is catching on since your video and so it should. It looks the s**t.

thanks but the spec but it to low. + I need to move away from asus as all my last Motherboard have bin asus rog + i would like to moveto a i7

P.S. I am not needing a hard drive as i have a 3T i just need a new ssd

Huh?

+ I need to move away from asus as all my last Motherboard have bin asus rog

So because your last motherboard was Asus you cant use Asus again? :headscratch:

OK, well then try one from Gigabyte as theyre excellent as well.

+ i would like to moveto a i7

No need unless youve got the money to burn. For a gaming rig, there is virtually no difference in performance between the i5 and i7 yet there is a $100 price difference. It isnt worth it. If youve got the money then there is certainly no reason not to get it but if youre on a limited budget, that $100 would go a LOT further if you put it towards a better GPU.

Now if youre doing a lot of heavily threaded work like video editing and stuff like that then the i7 will come in handy but just for gaming, its paying for horsepower that youre probably not going to use much of.

Why not sale it with your current rig that you said youre going to sale and get the GTX780? If it fits under your budget, a GTX780 will be a whole lot better gaming card than a 7970 and will last a very long time. Plus if you move up to a 2560x1440 monitor, the 780 will handle that very well while the 7970 will start to struggle.

Dont get me wrong, the 7970 is an excellent card and Im not saying you should get rid of it but if youre going to sale your old rig anyway and I can fit a GTX780 in and come in under your budget, I just think that would be the better way to go for a gaming rig.

ok sorry for the last post

my budget is 2 1/2 k but if i said that people would seeing how much you could make one for.

I am looking at the I7 4770k as the pc will need to last for 3/4 years.

i am holding on to the 7970 for now to see what amd have next for us.

The asus motherboard is a no go as you cant get it in red and black unless i go for the ROG board and @ over £300 just for a board that is not that good.
I did it before not this time.

The Rig up for sale is

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
Asus Crosshair IV Formula
8GB Kingston
Radeon HD 6870
OCZ SSD 128GB (OS)
500 GB Hard drive
all in a NZXT Phantom

You can get ROG boards around the £150-170 mark, the hero, formula and gene are about that price if I remember right.
