New build for my dad

Soo... my father asked me to make a rig for about 6000DKKR. He will mainly be using it for web browsing and editing photos (nothing intensive though). He wants it to small (mini itx) and have a fast boot up. I will mainly buy from this website: www.Komplett.dk.

Here is the list i've made so far.

CPU: Intel i3 2100

I am willingly to go AMD.

MOTHERBOARD: Asus P8H67-I Deluxe

This or one of the Zotacs.

GPU: XFX 6570 Passive

He wants a silent dedicated GPU.

SSD

I've got no idea on this one. He wants a fast, but reliably 60gb SSD.

HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1Tb

1TB of space is enough.

BLU-RAY: Sony Optiarc Blu-Ray burner

A Blu-Ray drive is a must and he'd like it to be able to burn them.

PSU: Corsair CX V2 430W

I think it's powerful enough. Don't know about connections though.

RAM: Kingston HyperX 1600mhz 4gb

I think these are compatible.

CASE

I haven't found one yet. It has to be mini-itx and to be stylish. He'd also like it to have USB 3, a 5,25 and a 3,5 inch bays.

I haven't looked much into it so any recommendations/advise is greatly appreciated.

Yo check edbpriser.dk, and if it is only for browsing i would take a look at the AMD Llano APU's

And for SSD's i can only recommend Kingston

Heh, i almost forgot about that website. I found the Lian Li PC-Q08B which looks really nice, but a bit pricey. People say the AMD Llano APU's aren't that good compared to the i3 at browsing etc., but they are cheaper and i wouldn't need a dedicated card. Also, there aren't that many mini-ITX boards for socket FM1 yet.

Kingston don't have any fast 60gb SSD's, only SATA 2. Corsair's Force 3 series are tempting, but they aren't that reliable and i don't want to risk it to fail.

you said he wanted a quiet dedicated gpu then why ya going with an AMD card????

It doesn't have a fan

The F1A75-I DELUXE motherboard looks good so i think i'll work on with the idea of an A8 APU.

It's the only FM1 ITX mobo i've found so far.

I'd like some opinions on the Crucial M4 64gb. It seems to have fast reads and be extremely reliable.

have a look at the intel 320 series SSD's. i love them, they love me. imho they're the only ones really delivering the performance mentioned in the product description. i had been using a crucial C300. it is now - after a year or so - on the pile with the drives that will go through the shredder. performance decrease by 80% or so despite of using TRIM. my far older intel x-25m - btw not using TRIM because in RAID 0 - still perform as on their first day.

concerning cases: i think tom reviewed a rather hot lian li in february this year. but it's a matx and not an itx case. might be worth a look.

I've also considered intel, but it's not as fast and reliable as the M4. I think i'll just take the M4, AMD A8-3850, Corsair Vengeance 8gb (really cheap), Corsair CX V2 430W and Lian-Li PC-Q08

Edit: The case has been reviewed on this site and it has got a pretty good review. http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/lian_li_pc-q08_mini_itx_case/6

I haven't even looked yet. I think i'll just use the stock cooler, but if it doesn't fit for some reason or it is too loud i will replace it. Any recommendations?

If you're still going with an i3 2100 then it should run pretty cool. I think the Samuel 17 or the Thermalright AXP 140 are amongst the best low profile coolers. What clearance does that case give you under the psu?

I'm going for the A8-3850. The cooler clearance should be about 100mm, but i'm not sure. My only real requirement for it is it to be pretty silent. I won't be overclocking so it hasn't got to be really good.
