New Build Coming up!!!

Hi all,

firstly let me introduce my self, my name is firat im 20 years old.

I built my first Pc at 17 , im at university now and currently study something totally irrelevant to computers (biochemistry) but im a computer enthusiast i love computers and such, so this is why i am here....

i really want to build a really good system not that i will need it for more than experimental purposes but i just want to see what i can do,

i have bought an asus rampage extreme 3 and 6 X 2gb kingston 1333mhz ram so far

im convinced that the cpu cooler i will need as i will be overclocking somewhat will be the noctua nh-14 im not sure what processor i should get, power supply (quiet) i will need and also need advice on graphics cards and also best hardrive brands,

what do you think of i7 980x? as this is a work in progress i will bythe processor last so does anyone think they'll be a new 1 out anytime soon?

i was thinking 2x radeon hd 5770 crossfire.....what do u think?

I was thinking a thermaltake evo_blu psuor a toughpower cant decide :/

if anyone has any ideas feel free and get involved id love to have a pc built with all of your ideas

Although crossfired 5770's may be slightly more powerful than a single 6870 but id still suggest going for that as it has higher bandwidth, a single card wont suffer from crossfired scaling problems (and drivers) and as games demand more in 2-3 years time you could simply add another instead of buying 2 new cards

Don't bother with the 980X get a 970, since it's the same processor just with a locked multiplier. Tom pushed his to 5Ghz on air, which is quite impressive.
