AMD's Lisa Su has announced that there will be both new GPU's and APU's after March this year.
"Going into the second quarter and the second half of the year with our new product launches, I think we feel very good about where we are positioned there," the chief executive officer said.
Lisa Su further added, "We plan to introduce a strong 2015 product portfolio, punctuated by the launch of Carrizo in the second quarter. Consumer and commercial design win momentum for Carrizo and continue to gain momentum because it will deliver the largest ever generational leap in performance per watt for our mainstream APUs.
So we are enthusiastic about our Carrizo launch that will take place in the second quarter. I think if you look at it, you know, the improvements that will come with that, HSA is one of them. We’ll also have significantly improved performance in battery life in Carrizo."
We already discussed AMD's upcoming APU in the Carrizo family this week Here but in terms of a new GPU, could we possibly be close to a release of the Radeon 300 series?
Its still early to give any official information but speculation suggests the R300 series will feature a 4069 shader processor, GCN 1.2 and 4GB of stacked GDDR5 memory.
What are you hoping to see from the next product line of Radeon GPU's? Do you think we'll be seeing a Titan X contender, if the recently leaked photos are indeed the Titan successor? If you missed this, you can also see this Here
