good morning peeps. i just changed rooms in my house because i snore and my bro is a moany bender that weeps in the middle of the night cos he is such a light sleeper. so anyway i moved to the room at the furthest point in the house and wifi doesnt reach the room at all w3hich is a pain in the nuts considering i bought a b.a. netgear dual band router to replace the crap bt infinty one. 4 times the transfer speed but the range isnt a good. so i am trying to set up the apartment so it has data connectivity and isnt completely useless. powerline is out of the question. it doesnt work in my house in the slightest. no idea why, different circuits??? so anyway my house is kinda shaped like this

:mad:
:confused::rolleyes::lol:
:cool:

mad face being where i am, upstairs
lol face being where the router is downstairs

could i drill a hole in the wall and fire some cat6 through and pin it to the wall in another hole into a switchbox. i dont want to spend hundreds of pound getting some guy to tear up floorboards or carpet to put in a wire. any suggestions

cheers
