Network sharing mindpickle

Hello fellow humans. I have a problem. I have m pc up and running but have encountered a network problem. In my family home we have an iphone and ipad 4 laptops and my pc. I have only just turned the thing on yesterday and have started downloading games and this is where the trouble starts i have btinfinity and i get about 35 at the plug but as soon as i start downloading my computer devours all the internet. Yes the internet and any other device that is connected will fail to load any web based content so is there any way of setting connection sharing to be a little more even. Cheers

Have a look to see if your router supports QoS, it enables you to set traffic priority. So you can set "WWW" to be high priority so that it will always have bandwidth.

Im not familiar with the BT routers. But on my Cisco one I can limit the connection of different computers and items on the network. But unsure if you have this option or not.
