Netgear DGND3700v2 Problems - HELP

So ive had this router now for around 2-3 months. Before this week, I had no problems at all with the wifi.

But now the 5GHz seem to be dropping on and off on my iPhone 5.
Ive been searching around the internet for solutions and an interesting solution that ive seen is to downgrade to the very first firmware that they released for this router.

Now the problem is I cannot download the firmware or any of the three firmware available because apparently 'proxy is not valid', takes forever to load and eventually a blank page.

Now is there anywhere I can find like an archive of netgear router firmwares?
Im trying to download the firmware V1.1.00.08 for DGND3700v2
Please help.

From the download centre it gives me the same error but I can download it from here, it just takes a couple of seconds for the download to start.
If it still doesn't let you, let me know and I will upload it to mediafire or something.

Thank you very much snortan. Sorry it took so long to reply, was testing out if the problem was still there.

And it is still there. Do you suggest I should try and upgrade to V1.1.00.14 for DGND3700v2?

Yea, there is no reason why not to try the newest firmware, it might work. And worst case scenario you can downgrade to V1.1.00.08 after.
Might I ask why are you using the 5Ghz band?

Why am I using 5GHz? -Why not haha. My device can use it and its available with the router, so why not.

By the way, I cant find anywhere to download the V1.1.00.14 for DGND3700v2, could you help me on that please?

Link for .14
The only reason why I would use 5GHz is if there would be too many 2.4GHz WiFi's(or other devices that use 2.4) in the area so that would cause too much interference. But otherwise 2.4GHz has a better range, propagates through solid objects better and speedwise it's the same.
