Need your advice - PC Upgrades

Hi everyone.
I am by no means a guru within the hardware field, I just know how to put bits together and look at benchmarking charts.. and there is just about where my knowledge ends. So I hope the OC3D community might be able to give me some advise on what to go for when upgrading my PC.

The Current Setup
Operating System: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Processor: i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 4GB
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Graphics Card: Club 3D GeForce GTX 580
Storage 1: Intel SSD 330 Series
Storage 2: 1TB Samsung SpinPoint (Cannot remember precise model)
Power Supply: LC Power Metatron Hyperion LC8700
Case: Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced nVidia Edition

Nothing is overclocked and I only have stock cooling (I know..), along with the bits what came with the case.

My Question
I would like to get some liquid cooling for my CPU, some new Memory and GPU(s). But I need help with this

Cooling: I have been looking at the H100(i), but in case I am missing some obvious choices, would this be suitable?

Graphics: the 580 is pretty high up on the charts, for this reason I thought about maybe for the first time try out SLI. I do prefer Nvidia due to plenty of issues I have had with drivers, hardware issues and overheating with AMD (this is, I admit, some 10 years ago I last used AMD - lots can happen in the meantime).
I would very much like to run 3 monitors, as I work with web development, 2 monitors is .. not really enough haha.

Memory: I would really like 8GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum, but any other suggestions? I cannot see the point with more than 8 GB as I rarely use more than 6 anyway.

Thanks!

EDIT: Realised after posting, that it might be the incorrect section of the forum - initially I was only looking at GPU, hence the reason for posting here. GPU is still my biggest question though!

GTX 670 is your next level upgrade. You could opt for a 680 but the leap in price doesn't match the performance.

I would avoid SLI as -

A. I've never heard of your PSU
B. 580 SLI uses an awful lot of power.

The H100i is an excellent cooler and I see no reason not to use it. As for the memory? personally I think Dom Plats are stupidly expensive so I would always use cheaper alternatives such as Vengeance or Mushkin (but that's just my opinion)

Mind you I don't overclock memory so to me Dom Plats would be completely wasted.

Thanks for your reply!

The PSU is fairly old now, so upgrading that while upgrading GPU was something I kind of expected would happen.

I generally agree with you in terms of the dominator memory, should I "just" stick with the once I have now?

Edit: forgot to mention, that I would not SLI the 580, but considering SLI 2 new GPUs :)

To be honest and I'm not bashing on any one here.. I've never seen the point in massively overclocked memory as it makes tiny differences to overall performance.

Now in the cases of the AMD APUs that have the GPU on the CPU then yes, it makes a big difference as the faster the memory the faster you can clock the APU.

The memory you have now is more than good enough tbh. Dom Plats were designed for world record breaking rigs under DICE and so on so it's pretty mad just plonking it in a daily gaming PC. Again though that's just my opinion :)

I think the rest of your rig (apart from that suspect PSU) is more than good enough just to be left alone. I would focus on a new PSU and a GPU/S upgrade.

Cheers AlienALX!

Yea I think the GPU(s) and PSU will be my focus :). Thanks for the help.
Will look at 670, unless someone else pops a gem in here hehe.

thanks again!
