Need some help here with BF2 map packs

OK after 2 hours looking in the game section I'm posting cause I cant find what I need

OK Crysis mew map being made of BF2 wake island?

OK I been playing BF2 for two years almost daily. I don't have no wake Island map in my BF2?

So search Google for BF2 Maps K map pack 1-2-and 3

Download the map packs. Install them. start game yeah there's the new maps and Wake island? turn on single pay (cause i don't do multi play On line gaming) And load game right before i get the weapon load screen kicks to desktop?

OK there's a new 1.41 Patch out. So I down load the patch and install it. same thing. OK maybe it messed up my no CD patch so go get the new 1.41 No CD patch Install it> Same thing. dumps strait to desktop?

What I'm I doing wrong? Is these maps multi play only ?

The Wake Island map is from the Special Forces add-on pack iirc.

nope wake island was included in the 1.03 patch.

which makes me wonder how you can have been playing the game over 2 years and not have patched it once...?!

So I see, well yes, download the latest full patch, and for gods sake play the game online like it was intended the bots are rubbish!

well as you can see from my first post i have downloaded the 1.41 patch and still no luck. Guess all back track and install the 1.03 patch. as of right now none of the new maps work.

I dont do online because people forget they was noobies once too. And I get excited and shoot the wrong guy and they kick me so. I dont need that in my life

Go on a server with friendly fire off!

BF is one of the worst game around if you don't play it online.

I cant believe you play BF2 single player, it was only designed for you to get to grips with this game (almost a tutorial) before going online.

If you try and play online you will find Wake Island maps appearing and you will be able to play them aslong as you have the latest patch.

uninstall everything, re-install bf2 and then patch with the latest full patch that should give you wake and everything else

though tbh i doubt you'll get much from it in single player, i also don't remember if its SP i thought it might be MP only

OK found my problem. When installing the 1.41 patch it don't ask were the games installed at it thinks everyone uses the default install. And install the patch there . DA :nono: Now to figure out what to do

I dont think Wake Island is on Single Player mode, just MP.

Nope matey, the patch will read a registry key to find where the game is installed... Otherwise the patch will say cannot find the game.

As Hyper said.. the Map is online only!

Please just give online a go, you will be amazed on how much fun it really is.
