Need some graphics advice

Well, they added a DX11 code path to improve things like the water effects, I just didn't know it was actually tessellation. Only thing I am able to find on the subject is rumors from this summer and the Cataclysm beta.

i will do some more research and find out for sure but i though that is how they improved the effects but i will have to make sure
 
I just read on a gaming site that the dx11 enhances reflection in water and lava flows. Which you'd really need to be told about to notice.

So there is something in it, but minimal and apparently experimental. Not like they added tessallation to all the scenary.

Who's to say they won't expand on it tho.

Apparently the water reflections at highest are really noticeable when you are flying.

I still haven't found any of these effects called tessellation though and I really don't see how they could be based on the screenshots.

This is the most thorough review of the d3d11 path I have seen. I've only skimmed it, but I see no mention of tessellation yet.

found the same some roomers of it being added but not official confirmed and has been trailed on beta's so how dose this affect my card choice ? lets say it was going to be added at some point in the next year

When there is insane amounts of tessellation, the 6970 will trump the 570

Just going by the extreme dx11 presets for single cards in the hwbot charts. 580s and 480s dominate the standings up to about position 55 where the 570s come in then around 65 the 6970s come in.

For dual cards, it's dominated by 580s and 480s only up to position 15, where 6970s come in, but no 570s to be seen, so it could be cos they haven't been benched.
