I know some of you are thinking "This guy must be lazy.".

Well I am.

Why should I not utilise the power 35,000 members on this forum?

lol

Anyways, just got myself Windows 7, blah blah blah, need internal hard drive that is at least 500GB big. There is no set budget yet. Will add one later once I get around to counting my monies.

SATA please if possible.

This looks interesting so far to me.

But you guys probably have much better deals.

'k thanks! lol

Well I was just about to suggest a samsung spinny f3 1TB too...I reckon those are pretty much the best at the mo. Never had a problem with ebuyer but depends where you live to see if its cheaper on postage to drive to a store and buy one.

I may have read the site wrong, but I think F3 supports NCQ and F1 doesn't.

Doesn't sound right to me, but hey.

Figured the speeds would be more or less the same ? Both seeks are 8.9.

The smaller ur files, the less u'll really appreciate the speeds.

I've got 3 f1s and I think they support NCQ. Either way F3s have 500GB platters so are going to be a little faster and are the newer product.

I don't think there's a chance of being disappointed tbh, and the pricing is decent.

The only thing u could get as an argument would be people's choices of manufacturer. (I'm a WD fan)

32m cache drives seem to dominate the top choices.

I would also prefer a WD as well but I noticed that they cost a bit more.

So I went for the Samsungs since their hard drives are also good.

Wondered why this thread suddenly appeared!.

Never did say that I love my pair of F1's(750's),dear god they are fast and run soooooo cool( 21 degrees) compared to my main (atm) drive a Hitachi "deathstar"( 29 degrees)
