Hey all.
I'm about to build myself a complete new system (i7 5830K and X99 for those curious). Now I bought the EK set L360, which consists of a 3x120mm radiator. I will be using it in a Corsair Obsidian 750D case.
This time around however I want to do positive pressure instead of neutral or negative. If you're reading this I presume you know what I'm talking about, and I need some input because frankly I can't decide on which setup I want to go with.
So let me list my options here and which parts I'm using for cooling and keep in mind all fans will be filtered (except exhaust).
Option 1:
Back push air into case at 7v: 1 x Silverstone 140mm Air Penetrator fan
Front push air into case at 7v: 2 x Silverstone 140mm Air Penetrator fans
Top push air through rad OUT of case PWM: 3 x Corsair SP120 PWM Quiet Edition fans
Option 2:
Back pull air out of case 7v: 1 x Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition fan
Front push air into case at 7v: 2 x Silverstone 140mm Air Penetrator fans
Top push air through rad INTO the case PWM: 3 x Corsair SP120 PWM Quiet Edition fans
I am a bit worried that option 2 will cause issues with the radiator not being able to loose its heat fast enough, since the included EK fans are 67 CFM (full RPM) and the Corsair SP120 are only 37 CFM (full RPM).
Edit: Might not have been the correct forum, I apologize in that case. Feel free to move it if needed.
