Need Help!

My friend needs a new pc quick luckily we have all the parts but a CPU. I have an extra GA-P55A-UD3 Motherboard and i was wondering if it will run this CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115221. I know there the same socket but it doesn't say anywhere that this board will run i3. I read something about certain bios versions can? I looked up mine and i believe it's version F7. Can anyone confirm this will work, thanks.

Is there a way to update the bios version? Comparing the pictures to my board it looks like i got REV 1.0

Nevermind i updated it to bios version f11.

it should tell ya on the circuit board somewhere what rev it is normally around the pci slots and no updating bios does not update revision.

looking at the pic its straight down from the rear i/o by bottom corner bolt hole

I think everything is okay now because i updated my bios to f11.
