Need for Speed Shift 2: Unleashed

Cheers man, how do you get them to upload full size? When I upload to photobucket they always resize themselves. Very annoying.

I just uploaded mine straight to my post,or you could use the "Squish" that Jim set up.

I like rfactor too but its showing its age, if they fix this i wont touch tractor again as this is miles better when its working.

I play rfactor, have done for a few years now and that IS a simulator, not this arcade game.

Hear, Hear.

How's my driving?

You have a really smooth style

I don't like to criticise, but perhaps jump on the gas a bit earlier in the corner, and you just missed a couple of apexes.

Though its always difficult to get a perfect lap in.

I will probably grab rFactor 2 when that comes, out. Love all the customisation and mods that can be had with those games.

input lag is something you can work around tho, i have had the stuttering fps issue too and thats not something you can compensate for.

tabbing out and back in solves that issue for anybody else with it

good game for me, best ea racer ever.

If this is the best EA racer ever, then... well...

I've never had this problem. But you can't put the game down because of that, all games have glitches when they first come out. I remember playing Halo and Halo 2 when they had server specifically for glitching.

From what I've played of Shift 2, the drifting is far from realistic. Spinning out at 20kmh is not realistic, it's stupid. GRID still has the best balance between arcade and sim. I can only hope for a number 2!

Just gonna bump this thread seeing as the patch should be here soon(its in Q&A atm,Although I am sure EA will mess it up!)and to ask if peeps( I know 2 that will) are up for a "mini league" of our own with this game.If we can get a few people interested I will make a new thread where we can discuss how we want to set this up.

Tbh I know the game has autolog, but its crap! and autolog ruins the whole forum thing, its far more fun to see this type of thing in a general forum rather than just in game

So who is interested?

siravarice still, I think. I have no idea as I haven't had time to play in a while, and I'm going away to Spain on thursday! If I remember tomorrow I'll check.

What in-game settings are you wheel users using for Shift 2?

My Logitech Driving Force GT just arrived today, it's the first time I've ever raced with a wheel beyond 'TimeZone', but I went in hamfisted with the advanced settings and don't want to reset to default then have to reprogram the buttons. I can easily say I drive better with keyboard or gamepad than with a wheel at the moment, this bad...

(Secondary game: Guess what car did this wreck use to be?) Edit: It seems the OC3D uploader squashed the widescreen screencap into 4:3(?) with resizing.

  1. Force feedback strength: 60%

  2. Steering deadzone: 0%

  3. Steering sensitivity: 8%

  4. Throttle deadzone: 0%

  5. Throttle sensitivity: 20%

  6. Brake deadzone: 0%

  7. Brake sensitivity: 80%

  8. Clutch deadzone: 0%

  9. Clutch sensitivity: 60%

  10. Speed sensitivity: 30%

  11. Speed sensitivity (drift): 0%

  12. Steering lock: 240°

  13. Steering lock (drift): 260°

I think I will probably up the steering lock (12 & 13) to ~600°. Edit 2: Just did a couple of laps with 600° steering lock in the first car I bought on Shift 2, a decently tuned C class Honda S2000; managed a 9 minute lap with too much downforce and not enough top end gearing. But man it felt good to aim, hit and link the apexes.

Also today was the first time driving the Nordschleife on PC; and man those crazy Germans, hiding corners behind every crest.

First run 11:40, managed 10:30 on the second and final run after I relaxed my grip on the wheel alot, both laps with alot of wall riding.

Hey guys anyone still play this heap of smelly cow manure? I still can't log in and use online. Some help would be greatly appreciated!
