If you going to be moving big files over wireless, or even over the 100 Base T ethernet ports on this router - then it's gonna be slow...

File transfers from PC to PC will be through hard wire, Ipod video like youtube, Xbox gaming and Xbox netflix will be wireless.

I can highly recommend the TP-Link WR1043ND. Coming from a Cisco Linksys WRT160NL my speed went up over 300% to around 9 MByte per second. Stability wise, it is a lot better than stock Linksys firmware and miles beyond the crappy OPEN DD-WRT for the WRT160NL. Plus, it is VERY cheap.
