NEED A NEW PSU!

right, im building my self a new rig and im not sure on the power supply, everything is going to be black or blue, its going to have blue LED's through out. so what is regimentation of a power supply either blue or black, if it has blue LED's that would be better, it needs to be modular and powerfull enough to power a GTX 560 graphics card and a AMD phenom ii 955 possessor

The GS series form corsair have blue LED, but its not modular, if you want modular, you can take a look at the AX, HX and TX series form corsair, 500-650w.

The Corsair HX series that is black and if you can see the sticker at least is a blue one, not a gold

. I can't think about any good psu with blue leds on it, but you can always put some yourself

I have a Corsair GS800 which has a lovely blue LED fan and is a rather good PSU... But it isn't modular. For me it wasn't much of a problem, I just hid the spare cables around the back of the motherboard tray and in some unused hard drive bays. Is there a specific reason you need modular, or do you think its better?

Better buy a best possible PSU you can afford and stick some let stripe somewhere.

You can get braided cables with coloure of ur choise with the AX series. It is also gold certified and you get 7 years warranty. Enermax/seasonic also got some really good gold/platinum psu's

Corsair AX series is the way to go, AX650 will be fine but if you can stretch to a AX750/AX850, it will be useful in future if you decide to add in a second card

In reply to LEXXIKONN i want it modular as the case i have has barely any room behind the mobo tray i have a non modular 450W psu now but there are so many cables and i can hardly fit them in the back pannel wont lock in up in the top corner, so just imagine a 600-700w psu in there will loads more cables and i wont fit the back panel on! Oh and cables management and it looking good is a MUST

One more question my dad has a rather good job and in the position were he can either get 2 GTX590's OR 4 GTX580's hes also got an Intel i7 990x, what watt power supply would he need to power tha beast?

a 1.000 Watts can handle that easily, but to go with everyone and suggest a corsair psu, if you have that equipment go with a Corsair AX1200W (if possible buy the single sleeved cables from them, will look awesomeeee
