Hi all,

I wanted to know what you think is a suitable cooler for an Intel Haswell i5 4670K. I've got the retail version of the chip, and now I want to get the cooling sorted so I can drop this baby in.

I've NO experience in water cooling, but I'd really like to try it, the rig I'm building is modern so it only seems right to learn watercooling. Note it will all be fitted inside a Corsair 550D.

Overclocking...never tried it, but once I've got the system all running, I will be looking to learn how to do it.

Cheers guys. :)

Cheers Tom, will a H100i give me good temps and some room to OC? I remember your video of the i7 cooled by the H100 if I remember right, the thing was pretty hot.

Dude theres load of info and reviews etc etc on the front page of the site. I dont spend days doing everything to rewrite it all here.

Would I have told you buy a H100i if it was crap? You wont get better in that case.

Get the handbags ready... I bet you get sick of repeating the same replys Tom, can't you set up a macro for it.

I don't see the same replies since I've not been here long, and I do watch all his videos, I just wanted some feedback on peoples opinions. The title says n00b, does that not say enough?

The Corsair "i" series of coolers are fantastic, If you have the case for it get an H100i if not then get the slightly smaller model the H80i both perform roughly within a few degrees of each other from what I've seen on various forums and not from personal experience.
You will not regret getting either the H80i or the H100i :)

Cheers Dicehunter, appreciate the feedback.

If you get the h100i consider investing in the quiet edition sp fans from corsair if you want a silent case. The stock fans can be quite noisy..

H100i + SP120 Quiet fans is a really nice combo. It'll allow you (obviously depending on the silicon of your CPU) to overclock a nice amount. My 4670K 4.4Ghz overclock idles at ~30c.
