Started this moring finished about 8! Sorry for the lack of pictures i got carried away and totaly forgot to take them!

Hope u like it sadly the rad was full of dust so the liquid doesnt glow as it would :( I will change the fluid soon
 
Oh dear, someone didn't do their homework! You needed to soak your rad in vinegar and flush it out... It's not dust in there. YOu need to empty your loop and clean everything, flush the rad properly mate.

Very nice case, quality gfx too, tidy loop too :)

I saw alot of dirty liquid when i first started the loop its cleared now tho, not glowing as much as it should under UV tho. Will it damage anything? and do i have to take it allll apart clean everything and start again?
 
For the UV fluid I'd just add some more :)

You should flush the RAD out, but only for the reason that it may have had a few spare bits of copper from the manufacturing process still in it which could damage the pump. No Vinegar required, just use de-ionised water
 
i see ur also useing the standerd nb/sb cooling did you pop them off and change the paste has evga,s past is crap and you can drop about 5-8 deg with as5 or cermaic
 
If it's a RoSH Compliant rad it should hopefully be manufactured using water soluble flux, which means all you need to flush it with is hot water. I strongly advise against using vinegar to clean radiators with. Contact the manufacturer of your radiator and find out...

Well basically it's been totally disproved that you should use vinegar and deffo never soak it longer than an hour or so. I'll add that onto my "to-do" list
 
The radiator is a ThermoChill PA120.3 if it helps. The liquid started really cloudy when it first went through the rad but its clear now, the only problem I’m having is that heat sinks for the memory on the GFX card are dropping off! I don’t think I cleaned all the thermal grease off very well so I’m going to get some thermal tape and some good thermal grease remover from maplins later today.
 
Swifty heatsinks? If so the aheisive they come with is like a post it note, I had to change mine over.

Personally I'd clean the loop out. But thats just me...

Most guides mentioning vinegar were authored prior to RoHS coming into force within the EU... back then, they were relatively valid. Since RoHS, majority (ThermoChill and HWLabs for sure) use water-based flux, so hot water is all that's required.
 
Yeh there swiftech MC14 heatsinks, Im going to empty the loop clean the rad with warm water and put fresh coolant in, To secure the heatsinks what would be best? Thermal Adhesive? or just some more thermal tape?
 
Just off boiling is best... but use oven gloves - it's a radiator designed to conduct heat, so will get too hot to hold within seconds. Most folks just pipe it up to the hot tap for 10mins or so...
