Hey guys,
I bought a VTX3D Branded AMd 5750 in early June this year, as a stepping stone until I can afford to upgrade my rig properly. On Monday, this quite decent card for the cash, died a painful squeeling death when the fan packed in. I popped straight back to Eclipse Computers in Coventry - knowing I was probably going to have to wait for it to go back to the "supplier" after Eclipse tested it, and yes, it's dead and now being RMA'd to the supplier.
Now, I think that VTX3D cards are distributed exclusively by VIP in Manchester (I could be wrong here, please tell me if I am). If this is the case, and given that VIP don't seem to have the 5750 listed on there site, anyone care to take a stab at a guess as to what they could do?
When my XFX card died, they replaced it with a newer "version" of the same card. But as I don't know anyone that has had any dealings with VIP or VTX3D, I'm just interested...
Also for those in the know, any idea what a "reasonable" time is for it to be repaired/replaced. Eclipse state 28 WORKING days... but just wondered if anyone has had any opinions/experience of this odd bit of consumer law.
Sticky bun for anyone that gets the answer right, once I get the new card!
