My up and coming build

Right i posted a while back and i cant remember what i put. Anyways.... im planning to build this after xmas... shame VAT rises BUT i was thinking about this:

CPU, MOBO, RAM, COOLER- Aria i3 540 Gladiator bundle -£220

Case- Xigmatek Utgard- £60 _ Got already

GPU- Sapphire HD6870 1GB - £200

PSU- Unsure -corsair TX650 - £65

SSD- Unsure - Muskin callisto 40GB - £65

HDD- Samsumg spinpoint F3 500GB - £31

This equates to - £641

any thoughts??? please comment or suggest any changes.. i would like to keep it around £600, i think this is probably asking for a bit too much... maybe the reduction of SSD would cut price down or maybe if possible a lower wattage psu like 550w..... cheers

IIRC you can get a 2gb 460 for £200. Gainward GS. Would rather have that any day.

Me personally if i was looking at getting an ssd would have to go for 80-100Gig SSD instead u should just save a bit more till u can afford a bigger one

Nah dude. I used a 30gb for 11 months and it still had 9gb free. You just need to know what you are doing.

Disable system restore and use, say, Acronis and send the images to a regular HDD.

Disable hiberfil.sys and delete the remaining file (4gb +)

Send all of your net downloads ETC to the regular hdd.

Cut the fat and you can get the base install down to about 8gb. From there don't install crap you don't need and run a clean ship.

i run a 'clean ship' but vista + my programs, with nothing else, comes to about 50 gb on my 74gb samsung 7200rpm

Yer alien i agree if all i wanted to chuck on it was my OS but if i was going to get one id like to have Adobe Master Suite on it to and thats around 15gig on its own so would rather play it safe and save for a bigger one but indeed it is personal preference
