The First and Last Build...For now.

Having gotten a new case and PSU yesterday, I just had to rip my old rig apart to put my new ish one together. The parts which i changed were from - Powercool 550W Semi-Modular PSU to a 1000W Corsair Semi Modular (Overkill much I know) and a case from Xigmatek Pantheon to a Lian Li PC-X900. The rest of the things I had pretty much stayed the same.
Rig Spec:
i5 3570k @ 4.2Ghz 1.1V
ATI Radeon 5850 (Powercolor Design)
Patriot Viper 3 2x4GB @ 2133Mhz
AsRock Extreme 4 Z77 (Socket 1155)
Corsair HX1000 PSU
Lian Li PC-X900
WD Blue 1TB
Sandisk 120GB SSD
Xigmatek Achilles CPU Cooler

The reason I changed from 550W to 1000W was one. The powercool one, was starting to make me worry with sometimes whining etc..so I picked up this Corsair one of a friend and the case for just..£25. Yes, £25, i couldn't refuse it. So here it is. Case is missing a few parts here and there. Planning on seeing if i can get something to plug up the HUGE hole in the front. With being a student cannot really afford new better bits all the time, got to get them as and when a special occasion rises!

(I know the cable management isn't great, but i had to throw it together pretty quickly so I could start doing some more college work. Constructive criticism and advice will go good. Bit of a 'selfie' in the case window )

Yeah not bad dude, Lian Li dont make it easy - very oldschool way of doing things with them still.
No they don't really make it easy, i dont think i did a bad job of cable managing it, only took me around 2 hours to dismantle and put into a new case. I wish i could find a cover for the huge hole in the front :(, I would like to watercool eventually but can't really afford it. Around £150 i've priced a loop up, but hey-ho. Comes in time.

£25!!! You lucky barstool! :p

Aye i am lucky. I got a zalman 14cm Cooler aswell, but doesn't fit my mounting bracket :( So need find one of them aswell, or else i'd be using that!

EDIT:

RIP Corsair 1000W, died on me this morning. I was so scared it took any of my components with it, but it didn't luckily, so i had to go back to my 550W Powercool one. Oh well. Cannot afford a new PSU anytime soon :(
