my rig....

Linky @ post #123

tbh, have yet to see successful phase/dry ice/liquid nitrogen cooling cascades. the only one i managed to find was the above :) shed some light if you know, who achieved better results, plz

still need fittings and a few parts...but i think i got most of what i need??

ROB

think i need a plumber!!....

.....hehe!

all my kit arrived today, gotta say....,suprised by the size of all the damn parts lol!

still, cant wait to get into it.need some more fittings and a little advice as to what order i need to plumb the stuff.

going to keep two cooling systems in the comp...GPU and CPU.

what i need to know is....

1) pump to cpu to rad to res to pump ?

2) connect in series or parallel for both ?

3) trying to get all inside this case (!!!)...can i sandwich the 2 rads together and fan each side...the idea is to have them in the front face of comp and be inline for the cold air.

will keep posted as i get on....in the meantime, some pics for ya....enjoy

Yeah that lot must have cost a bomb.

As for sticking the two rads together.. You would need some serious fanage on there for the air to cool the second rad effectively. I wouldn't do it myself.

ok....

.....i see point for ;

pump/rad/cpu/res......

3) how about fans/rad/fans/rad sandwiched together??...mounted in the front lower area of my case.cool air being drawn in will pass the rads and into the comp...

Two problems... By the time the air has passed through the first rad, it will be warmer and less efficient at conducting heat from the second rad. Second problem is you would be blowing two 120.3's worth of heat straight back into your case over all of your components.

actually i have!!....

....just today i was speaking to a few friends that do sheet metal and plastics etc.

there could be a design out there.

i had a thought about doing a glass top table and having the comp illuminated under it....but i dont know.

i can mod this case and i have 2 of them here...cut side off and make 1 biggy!!

far too many ideas in head lol!!

ROB

had a little play....

....this eve.thought i might see how the gx2 cooler block fitted in!!(like ya do :D)

anyway...think it looks good, only a minor mod to casing at the top and it fits fine.unable to screw the sides together as everything anchors to the original innards etc.i will think of something later on.seems to be happy just snapped back together and i cant see it falling apart as is.

ROB

(looks like i will be getting a lian li case after all.....)

thats an interesting idea, would make a nice htpc setup :)

been adding water to my cpu's today.....

....think its worked out ok.

will do the gpu's when i can get an elbow fitting for second card.its too close to the bottom so the pipe would kink.will carry on getting all the drives up and running tomo.

just glad its coming along!....bleeding system overnight,no leaks so far lol!:D
