Well, it's time for me to input something into the Watercooling gallery

I've been collecting some bits for a new project of mine and now i can finally start on it.

The donor case in question is a Lian Li PC70 which i got from my good friend Legion.

The Spec of my setup will be (for the time being anyway)

COMPONENTS

DFI Ultra-D

A64 3000 0448 SPAW @ 2700 on air

1GB G.Skill LA PC4800

ATi X850XT-PE

1x80GB Maxtor SATA

1x300GB Maxtor 10

WATER COMPONENTS

Cathars G4 Storm CPU block

Dangerden Maze 4 Acetal 2005 GPU block

Aqua-extreme AQX50Z Pump

Dangerden Fillport

Thermochill 120.3 Radiator

Panaflow 120x38mm fans x3

Tygon R3603 and R1000 tubing

Here's where it all starts!!!!

DSCF0129.jpg

Right 1st things 1st.....time to cut the holes for my Thermochill 120.3 radiator and dangerden fillport....yes - you've guessed it - i'm watercooling in this little beauty.

DSCF0177.jpg

And one more with the rear fan guards cut out and removed to reduce noise and aid air flow.

DSCF0176.jpg

More to come

Next thing to do was to braid the cables from the switches to the motherboard and the fan controller

DSCF0179.jpg

Then cut the hole for the pump in the hard drive caddy

DSCF0181.jpg

While the braiding was out i did the pump before installing it

DSCF0183.jpg

Here's the pump installed into the cage

DSCF0184.jpg

And fitted into the case.

DSCF0185.jpg

I then put the radiator in.

The config for the fans e.t.c on the raddy is:

Panaflo's in a pull config out of the case mounted on some gutted cheapy 120x25mm fans to eliminate the dead spot and create more suction through the raddy.

That lot's then fitted to the Thermochill 120.3

Well, here's the top of the case so far.

DSCF0180.jpg

And here with some tubing starting to make it's way into the setup.

DSCF0186.jpg

Here's one of the front of the raddy with the fillport tubing routed down to the "T" line just before the pump inlet.

DSCF0187.jpg

Here's an earlier pic i took before i stripped it and cut the fillport hole (i'd done the fan holes before) also with the Lian Li stealth bezels and fan controllers - not to mention the Lian Li window panel :D

Kind of gives you an idea of what it'll look like from the exterior when it's finished.

Here's one of the Dangerden Maze 4 Acetal GPU block next to my MX1000 - it's mahoosive :D

DSCF0142.jpg

And here's where it is now....leak testing throughout the night :D

Hardware is going in this week, so keep browsing for the updates

Nice setup and nice pics, i like the blue water, very nice.

Those fan grills look like flow killers though, all the projections are where the air should be going. Look pretty cool though, very EP

I respect all of this work that you guys put in to your sytems, my rig my perform with the best - in all honesty it looks 'OK' with it all closed up.

Open the side panel and it's HOLA man!!

A really good bit of work put in there mate, can't wait to see some more.

Thanks for the replies matey :D

Appreciate them, it was touch and go whether i was keeping it to be honest.

Now the pump works it's all back on and firing on all 3 fans

Phil, i would look at an anodised case - but it's just sooo expensive getting it done nowadays.....LOL ;)

Thanks again fellas

Right, took it all to bits coz i wasnt happy with the tubing route.

So here's a few pics as i went along

Ready for the G4 Storm.....yum!!!

DSCF0017.jpg

Here's the G4 and Maze 4 mounted to the mobo and gfx card.

DSCF0018.jpg

And here we are - finally running.

DSCF0022.jpg

Temps currently with 1.7v through the CPU are:

Idle = 38 degrees on CPU and 35 on GPU

Load = 49 degrees CPU and 45 on GPU

So far im well impressed !!!!

Pump is buzzing like an angry bee though as it's transmitting vibrations through the HDD cage - a good piece of foam will sort that out hopefully - might re-mount it to the back plate next to the motherboard - not sure yet.
