fragtek i owe this to you buddy lots of reps comming your way.

got my pc up and running.... read frags guide to oc'in a amd.

10.5* 249fsb=2.635ghz 1.565 volts htt frequancy 3x and im still going ...

getting shit benchies thou y ? last one i did was 12021 3dmarks03 wif just cpu oc

you're not going to see significant increases in 3dmark scores with a sole CPU OC. 3dmark scores are mainly determined by your GPU.

Thx man!

That 3dm03 score isnt bad at all... oc that gfx card and you'll see a NICE increase!

I dont like 3 D Mark because you cant realy take the score as a real "performance Measuring Unit".

Its testing stuff you will never have in games... So i just dont REALY like 3d Mark. AQ 3 is very good. But anyway, your score is pretty good man !

Using any multiplier that's not an integer is less powerful than using a multiplier that's an integer that's .5 less than your current multiplier.

ie. inBenchmarks(x + .5 < x) where x is an integer and inBenchmarks is a multiplier

in athlon 64 processors half multipliers i.e. 10.5 , 9.5 , 8.5 run as dividers. Thus when you overclock your proc and mem 1:1 at say 10.5x265 , your memory actually is only running at 252 or 253 mhz. Thus lowering overall bandwidth of the system. That is why you need to stay with complete multis like 11 , 10 or 9. Try running your setup at 10x265 . It shold give you a nice boost in overall system performance and bandwith.

right im getting pissed off now.....

i cant get the memory to run 1T......the cpu no matter what i do will not bench at 2.6ghz the load temps are only 41c reapllyed as5 etc what am i doing rong?

Did you increase the voltage to the memory? Try it at 2.8/2.9v and see what happens! :)

your not the only one , the ASUS A8N board is known to have issues overclocking with 1T timings. Nothing you can do about it but wait and hope for a new bios fix.

Although its highly unlikely that a bios will fix it. Prolly Asus will have to come up with Rev. 2 of this board as well. As if they havent done enough with all the bloody boards they come out with wanting to be the first on the market with the latest technology . :nutkick:
