It sure is but I just wish I could stop searching for things to upgrade it's like a drug! Plus just found some real nice "ALL" white cables I'm thinking full Sata/ATX/PCI leads all round. Damn this is going to get expensive.

But, considering it's a budget build, you've done very well on the mod work, so +1 for that...

Well done on the build mate for £600 you really have got your moneys worth there i was unsure about your PSU, have you had any problems using it? mind you i cant talk i had a 430 in my build at one point :L

To be honest it's been a good PSU more than enough to run this rig, even at full load it stays cool I have been a little concerned though since I read the recent horror stories but I think I've been one of the lucky few. I'm looking at upgrading the PSU next year possibly one of Corsairs GS800's also lookin at replacing the GPU too.

Looks great Wraithguard! Late to the party, but was reading through it Those white cables look nice&the glow when it's running! You could really see the effort you put in as you updated the thread. The carbon fiber (die noc?) is nice, i am partial to that! Very tidy

Thanks very much it is due an update as I have done some drastic remodelling and ripped the front off and built a new one (WIP) also I ditched the optical drive as I don't use it.

I also threw out the CCFL tubes in favour of LED strips.

Initial design mock up and early cutting

Mock fitting and trimming (needs new filters and colour)

I'll finish it once I have the fibre glass and paint I ordered.

Ah nice, that is looking tidy Wraithguard! The led's add to the cleanliness of it aswell. It'll be great to see once you've modded that front panel on, that will look pretty sweet!

i wasnt liking it at all in the first pics and a clear acrilic case with that god awful gigabyte logo on the front was taking away from the look in my opinion, but as i read on and saw what you have done it is really looking sweet. i cant wait now to see what the front is going to turn out like.

Thanks Chewythefirst I know what you mean the Gigabyte logo was a bit strong but nothing I could do as it's screen printed onto the acrylic so I swapped the side panels around, I did some painting and rubbing down on Friday and left it at that as I stay at the missus's place over the weekend. I will probably crack on with it this week at some point but having just really pulled my back out it's only a maybe because the pain I'm suffering at the moment it monumental.

I managed to dry fit everything and install the micro fine fan filters.

Any ways drugs and sleep are calling me.

Anyway this is as far as I'm going with this for now, time to start saving to build a new rig and retire this as a folding only system as I can't fold and use this at the same time.

Silverstone white braided extention cables, Akasa 80-120mm fan adapter, 1M 50/50 LED lighting strip with colour & brightness controller, 2x 120mm eZcool high flow blue LED case fans, 3M Black Carbon fibre vinyl.

Well that's it I'm not 100% happy with the front panel as it needs tweeking and tidying up and a few more coats of paint but agonising pain has put that on hold.

Any hoo comments are always welcome good or bad.

Edit: Slight update. I braided my extensions and had to install a H80 as the pump on my Seidon decided it didn't want to live anymore.

I've had no issues with this PSU touch wood! But I've had it apart and it doesn't have the weak caps that were used in the dodgy explosive earlier models, the max power draw is only 350w so should be alright for many more months yet.

Hey Wraith! The new front panel, with the lights on looks great dude! When your pain subsides a few more coats of paint will make it look sweet. You know seeing your white braided cables has *really* made me want some too! (and extentions aswell cos i wont be able to braid with non-modular etc, without warranty etc...) the GA-78LMT-USB3 is i think a nice matx am3+ mobo! Think you've done a great job man. I do have to say, i really like the window with the 'gigabyte' part on the front (nice&shiny&flat) But yea, i think it looks pretty sweet man!

I was asked where I got the case and the Answer is simple speak nicely to Gigabyte they might still have some ex-displays knocking around - anyway here is what the case looks like before I butchered it.
