My damn little finger >:(

Hi there OC3D!
I'm typing this message using my left hand and my index finger from my right hand. 6 days ago, I hit into a door handle with my right hand, and I though it was just bruised. Yesterday, I found out my little finger was a bit angled. Today I though I might have to see a doctor, and it turns out it has a little fracture in it. It was not much, but still enough to have to get a splint for 1 week to give it a rest. Typing is incredibly hard and tiresome for my arm. Also I just got Mass Effect 3 for free with Playstation Plus and I can't even play it!
Well, I guess I'll be a little less active the coming week.
See you guys around!

oh dear, that puts gaming in hold for a while :(

can you use your right middle finger?

Also if you have a Mic try using the Speech recognition software.....may not be great but better than straining your hands

I can still use my right middle finger, but it's not very easy.
Typing goes fine, but a little slow. I'm starting to get used to it a little :)

Mass Effect 3's a great game :D
Hope you like it so you get it on PC ;)
My most played game. Been playing since November and I have over 200 hours tallied already :D

I think it'll be great, and obviously even better on PC, but I'll first need a new rig to play any new games. And a monitor :p
Being a 16 year old dude sucks when it comes to money :p
I hope there won't be any complications with my finger so I can finally game on next week :D

Update :p :
My splint was incredibly loose today, so I went back to the hospital. Turns out I had the wrong splint and my finger was incredibly stiff. I now have my little finger attached to my fourth finger, and it's alot easier to move it. Perhaps time to have a go at ME3? :D
Still, fanatic gaming and writing won't be easy and it still has to rest a little. And I'm a little pissed at the hospital for giving me the wrong treatment. And we wonder why the health-care is so expensive...
Well, see you guys around!

you guys have to pay for medical treatment? isn't that included in the taxes in the netherlands?

Makes you wonder where they got their licences/certificates from.............. I know ..... the corn flakes breakfast box. :D

Glad your finger is sorted properly this time.

Thanks man!
They did explain to me why they did it wrong the first time. At the first aid, where I got my first splint, they always do broken fingers that way, even if it's just a small piece of bone that's split off. Glad I went back earlier though, if I wouldn't have come back earlier, I would have to get physiotherapy, because my finger would've been extremely stiff, if not almost immovable, after one week of not moving my finger.

I see amazon UK put it back for now. Also EA removed cheetah speed for now. For me that is a huge problem, since I don't have the patience to play on slower speed for long.

^^ Indeed! I really enjoy playing it!
I already had it for a while, but I re-installed windows. When I saw that disc, it started itching again :p
And cheers mate! Next Thursday I can take that damned splint off. It's so warm and itchy, I hate it :/

That sucks about your finger. I have always been in a similar situation. A few years back I was working with sheet metal and trying to force another piece around a bend when it gave way, sending my left hand forward into the other piece of sheet metal on the edge, splitting my left index finger down the center to the first joint. It wasn't as painful as it sounds because I severed the nerves, losing all feeling in about 15% of my left hand on the index finger side. Since then I have learned to type without using my left Index finger at all. The biggest challenge was learning to use WASD movement in games without using that finger. For a while I tried but kept failing in arenas on WoW half the time because I couldn't tell if I was hitting hot keys or not and looking at the keyboard every now and then wasn't working out so well.
