Hi, just got my new Cosmos S case. Looks really great. I removed the side panel fan straight away so that my tuniq would fit. Here are some pics:

Note the power supply at the front of the case as the 4-pin connector for the cpu was too short on my cheapo ebuyer psu. No noisier than my previous case the antec plusview 2.

What are your thoughts?

Haha, bit of cble tidying. I think I like it the way it is with the power cord going through the front. :damn:

Yeah i'm currently looking for an Etasis et750, as they are the same as the silverstone zeus 750w and i can get one cheap. Just gathering funds.

Case looks great, I definetly agree a little cable tidy wouldnt go a miss :D

Every one does realise the pus is temporary.

I have a big problem

If you look at pictures of the case on the internet at the top there is a red strip of light from a led. This does not work.

Another problem when i shut down the pc it automatically turns itself back on again which it didn't in my old case.

What should I do??? RMA??

Is the led able to be gotten to and replaced/checked by you? It'd seem a pity to have to RMA the case simply because an LED isn't working. It may just be a dry solder joint.

Re restarting: Does it have a sticky power button? Have you changed any of the BIOS settings? Especially the ones where you set what the PC does after a loss of power etc (depending on your mobo)

Oh and tidy that birds nest rofl :D

The only thing I don`t like about that case, is that it looks as if it would give me the feel of one of those old Dell cases when opening it up to work inside.

Looks nice from the outside, then u open it up and the edges are inward-rounded, un-flexible drivebay stack. Ewch.

.. might be wrong tho and it`s just the cabling throwing me off :p

Hi, the case has that special touch sensitive power button. To power this there is an extension that connects to the 24 pin mobo cord. From this attachment are three wires which power the touch sensitive unit.

As my mono is the commando, it has its own power button. When I remove this extension, (effectively bypassing the case totally). The pc works fine when i use the mobo switch.

So the problem is the case and it will most definatly have to be RMA'ed. I am not happy. Have to remove all into cases backwards and forwards.

Here is a pic of the 24 pin power cord which when dettached the pc works fine.

What you see here is the 24 pin power ribbon connected to the MB, that multi-colored ribbon came with the case and has a yellow/darkblue set of wires wired into the +/- 5 VDC hot line from the PSU. This is because the touchsensitve power button needs power to work (it senses your touch and then sends the signal to the MB to power on).

the ribbon connects to the MB and the other end connect to the power supply. Think of it is a small section inserted between the PSU and MB, a set of wires run from that to the panel which gives it power.

It could possibly be a compatibility issue between the board and the touch sensitive power switch - in which case you might want to investigate a bit further before RMA'ing the case.

Maybe, but the switch is just taking its power from the 24-pin connector. and the other cable links the usual power switch pins. As soon as the computer turns off. the Switch must send another signal to the mobo to turn it on.

Also as there is already an LED not working in the interface panel, you'll probably find the it is faulty.

Some how I need to find out why it is restarting my pc.

Any ideas?

10th may update.

I have applied for an RMA for the case and it will be collected this coming week. Not sure if I want a replacement, it didn't seen that special. When I was looking at it, it seems like the case is trying too hard to look good and comes across un-cool.
