my 2900pro just poped

my 2900 pro has just poped i put it in my loop and i must not have tightent it enought very expenceive mistake i turned it on after the leak test got into the bios and after a few seconds it just flicked off and whats worse i flashed it to a pro so i cant even RMA plus its a sapphire LOL

its a good job i have got an understanding wife she just let me order a 8800gt

So one of the barbs wasnt tight enough and it leaked over the card? What liquid were you using? You got any plans for the card or you just using it as an expensive paper weight?

no it didnt leak the block wasnt quite touching the chip no plans for it why ?

im thinking of giving it to my daughter for a paper weight

I'd still try the RMA... I think half the time they don't check the part and just see if its dead or not and send a new one.. Doubt they would know you had flashed it.

Even if they did, still worth a go.

Definitely worth RMA though as postage will only cost a couple of quid

I doubt they really check them that much, just test that it doesnt work and as long as it doesn't look like its been messed with, they'll send you a new one. Hopefully!

its only a dtek fuzion graphics block but if you want it im sure we can come to an arangement
