OK Here goes I want to up my CPU just so it sits at 4ghz with decent temperature at full load.I read in Gigabyte UK that this is possible by just upping the multiplier is it really that simple or are there other settings I should be considerring before just upping the multiplier and hoping all's well.
I would use Easy Tune but with my Sata Controllers set to AHCI this just brings BSOD on reboot. I've been waiting for the right info before going full steam ahead as dont want to destroy my CPU or anything else just yet.
Any advice please give freely ;)

4.0 GHz is a pretty low end overclock for a 3570k, with a decent CPU it should be achievable with stock volts (no guarantees). I'd try it and see what happens, the worst that could happen is that it won't post and you'll have to reset your bios, you won't destroy the CPU. That said, it is advisable to learn at least the basics of overclocking.

Edited: Make sure that you set CPU Vcore manually, auto will likely give you far more volts than you really need raising your temps unnecessarily.
