Hey guys. I am using an MSI P55-GD65 motherboard with an i5 760 and 4Gb 1600Mhz DDR3. The CPU Multiplier is locked, does anyone know a way round this? I have noticed a few posts about this but with no answer. It just wont change (No options to change it).

Thanks!

Nope theres no way to unlock it, but rather start upping the baseclock little by little, and tossing a little more volts at it when it hangs or bsods.

Theres alot of good guides out there for help overclocking your 760. Best to start doing a little reading to get a rough idea of the process. Then its just trial and error.

Yeah I had it stable at 3.8Ghz. Just wondered about the multiplier. BTW I done that stable overclock by watching LinusTechtip's i5/i7 OC Guide.

Thanks!
