Multi monitor setup help!

Hi Everyone,

I am running a 460 2win for surround vision (not 3d) on three monitors. I noticed when playing Mafia 2 with Apex Physx on that my min frame rate was low 20s. So, I ordered a GTX 295 B stock from EVGA. I put the card in and set it to take over the Physx and Mafia 2 showed great improvements, with my minimum frame rate being around 28, making it playable. However, in other games my performance has dropped so much that they are unplayable. I wanted to use a fourth monitor also to drag things like temp apps and afterburner to so I can monitor my computer whilst gaming. Does any one know why this is happening or if it is fixable?

Thanks !

Federal.

He is only running low res on the monitors. Something like 1600x900 IIRC as that was what EVGA suggested.

Everything roars along, apart from Mafia 2 with APEX physx enabled.

That's basically why the Physx card.

Normally I would agree. Totally. However.

The card came from EVGA as Bstock. 90 day warranty, $109 delivered thanks.

The 285 was on there for $99. The 465 was $109.

What would you choose?

Now if this can not be resolved (and we are beginning to feel it can't) then he can whip out the 295, take the 750w 80+ bronze psu he has along with 4gb of HyperX ram he has and a choice of cases (Alienware ALX rev 2 or HAF) and pick up a cheap Sandy Pentium (around $70) and board and he has another entire gaming PC.

His 2win is warrantied for a long time. If it packs up he has the perfect stand in
