MSI P7N Diamond SLI config

New SLI Rig

Thinking bout gettin a MSI P7N Diamond instead of an ASUS Striker II Formula Republic of Gamers Series nForce 780i SLI, due to the overclocking restrictions of my Q6600. My question is, due to other pci needs, can i run my SLI config in any of the 4 pci exp lanes or does it have to be over the blue slots, or in sequence ? Cheers in advance.

Argh, need help. Anyone know the best sli board for overclocking (ddr2) also must have audio pci slot.I plan on running a q6600, 2 8800gt's (sli), a fatality xfi titanium, 4 gb ram. both 8800gt's will have a Zalman VF1000 under them. I have a wireless pci card but found this (Abit AirPace PCI-Express Wi-Fi Card802.11b/g ) so can put in spare PCIe slot if pci slot is blocked by graphics card. Aim to cool with freezer extreme but if no room will use silenator.have full faith in oc3d reviews but just cant figure it out on my own !

p.s. i really want to find a solution so that i can build my new beast in my recently aquired ridiculously big antec 1200. Cheers.

May I say.. STAY AWAY FROM THE FREEZER EXTREME! My friend has one of them, remounted countless times and he just can't get good temperatures. His Q6600 @3.6GHz (not sure on Vcore) runs at 77C maxed with Orthos, they're not good coolers. A complete let down. Settle for something like a Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme.

I've got all the parts, except the new MB. BTW when i got the freezer xtreme i was ready for kicking some swiss ass as soon as i saw those crapy little plastic pins. however i kept the backplate fom my old alpine and it was fine. Also found through the hard way that if u tighten the retention pins too much the whole thing falls off so replaced the screws with longer screws i had lying around, that said tho it all sits securely and my q6600 has never gone over 32C idle/ 41 full load (stock 2.4... $hittin it 4 oc'in tho) So eh, best sli ddr2 mb for oc'in a q6600 with space for xfi card ? suggestions please. cheers
