Hi i have been looking at getting a Msi board for a sandybridge build but am a bit confused there are versions of the boards that are cheaper ie p67a-gd55 for £110 then a p67a-gd559(b3) for £125 it says they have sorted the sata problem out on the b3 versions but i want to know what happens if i buy the cheaper version will they sort it out in time and have a bios flash to sort it or will they swap the board for one that actually works properly like the b3 versions do but want to charge you more money for something that should of been Wright in the first place if anybody could shed any light on this i would be greatfull dont want to go buy a duff board that wont get sorted

You want to look for B3 or Revision 3 Models, with the corrected chipset. Those will have corrected the sata 3 issues.

cheers dude will spend the extra then and get a b3 but then again that is pushing the money up in to other brands territory might have to look at some other brands lol it says on msi website about them being sorted but funnily enough it does not mention anything about if you have a the 1st series lol

I think the major brands are replacing if you had purchased the 1st series. You send yours in, they send you a B3

wonder if they will do it if you by the older one now while new one is out or they might try saying you could of bought a b3 from the start, just trying to penny pinch i am a tightwod lol
