Wait, which board do you have, your info just says MSI k8t. Only the recent VIA chipsets have the lock.

I have the 939. I can't believe none of the older kt chipsets didn't have any locks. In the future I'll probably go with the nforce like before or maybe an ati chipset if they're good.
