MSI GTX 660ti PE Problem

hey,

I picked up this card for my gf's system the other day but after installing it windows doesn't detect it, just shows up as "standard vga adapter" also the Nvidia driver doesn't find any hardware.

I tried it in my machine also which currently has a 670 and I get the same problem. I got this card replaced and tried the new one and I get the exact same problem.

Is there something really basic that I am missing or need to do? or is my luck just so bad that these cards are bad. never had this kind of issues with any other card. This system had a 460 before and also had a 580 in it for a short while and all worked fine.

Have you tried uninstalling All nvidia drivers and reinstall them?

Yea, I always completely remove old drivers before installing new hardware or updating.

It actually seems to be working now... driver is installing. Had to try installing the driver about 15 times for it to work though

edit: driver then gave same error lol after installing....

attempt 16... finally installs

these 660ti drivers seriously buggy?

they are new so probably
