Mouse mats

My mouse mat is terminal.

To the point: Can anybody recommend me a good mouse mat/desktop surface? I've seen such items with certain traits advertised and always wondered if they were gimmicks, for instance:

"This mat is designed for those who favour precise aiming, involving snipers etc."

"This mat is designed for those who favour run&gunning, involving assault classes etc."

I'd prefer a rather large one, one that's not too loud.

I"m using the Wowpad, its cheap, big, very flat and does fine for optical. Wish my old Icepad worked with opties, but it doesn't. Oh well. Wowpad is quiet, its basically a kind of thin, and stiff, surface about as thick as heavy paper.

excellent tip for a gaming mouse mat...

simply lightly UPVC-glue some un-torn denim from an old pairs of jeans to a piece of cardboard. comfy and accurate

Sadly the state of my jeans can be compared to that of my current mouse mat.

I use a big alu steelseries one, mouse glides right over it, so is pretty quiet, and is really comfortable

I use a Roccat Sota.

I think you get different textures, some feel plasticy, some feel rubbery, but at the end of the day it's what's comfortable for you. A good mousepad is one you don't notice.

Razer vespula. It has a nice palm rest, large, and is solid. I use it for my G700. And it's also 2 sided one rough the other smooth.

Razer goliathus is what i use. Control and its amazing and does look rather pleasing. Im selling a brand new one for 15 dollars in the for sale section if you want to check it out.

Ha... thank you, I am never happy with my builds tbh and I tend to change them a lot but I've been on this for a while now and im pretty chuffed with it

Still to add another 6950 sometime soon and I shall call it a day for a little while before I start upgrading again
