Theres a new set of cloth pads being brought out by Razer, which are similar to the fatpad, and the legendry 3M pads. They should be good.

Im giong to have to return this mouse, it doesnt track very well at all on most surfaces. Ive read extensive reviews, and many people have this problem as wel....I even updated the firmware and have the latest drivers. Going back to optical

Returned and got the razer diamondback today. Totaly destroys the logitech...ill never go back. I love this s hape much better as well

Theres also many reviews that state all the problems about bad tracking, etc etc. I didnt want to mess with getting the right mousepad.

Btw, you guys should all do the firmware update that own a g5

you say there are reviews of the G5 having bad tracking? and you went and brought a Razer Diamondback?!? it has pixel skipping and all sorts of bugs. Copperhead is the one you want.

No, Copperhead is NOT th e one I want. I dont want another mouse with the same sensor as t he G5, that doesnt track on any surfaces I have. I tried 4 of my mousepads, a magazine, and my desk. None worked well at all. I dont want to have to guess and order a new mousepad.......

Diamonback works great for photoshop and games, I have had no problems with pixel skipping.

i have to say i've tried this mouse on a few surfaces.. yet to have a problem with her

i got my G5 the other day and it rocks,everybody should buy one

i never had any problems apart from my setpoint cd didnt work but that was easily fixed by going to the site and dloading it,i also got the firmware upgrade while i was at it
